Neil Maguire’s paintings abstract the urban landscape, including comics and pop referents. By adding collage elements, Maguire experiments with mixed media techniques as a way to communicate a sense of chaos in our contemporary moment. Maguire integrates diverse elements into his work intuitively. This naturalness is achieved through hours of experimentation in the studio.

In 2019, Maguire graduated from the Drawing and Painting program at the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD University). His work was recently included in Sorry to bother you at Corkin Gallery, an exhibition exploring new approaches to painting by emerging artists in Toronto.
