From mediums as diverse as photography, painting, drawing and sculpture, Corkin Gallery presents the exhibition Accidental Geometries with work by artists: Barbara Astman, Virgil Baruchel, Christian Butterfield, Jota Castro, Jeff Chiu, Burt Covit, Hana Elmasry, Michelle Forsyth, Miles Gertler, Thaddeus Holownia, Frank Mädler, Neil Maguire, Carol Marino, Andrés Marroquín, Brendon McNaughton, Sondra Meszaros, Leopold Plotek, Gina Rorai, Grit Schwerdtfeger, Nigel Scott, Sharon Switzer, David Urban, Rafael Yaluff
This exhibition is a suggestion to think in the presence of the body in relation to space and objects, and the use of basic geometry elements in the physicality of artworks. The artists feature explores a variety of notions including identity, memory, consumption and tradition.
