Rosi Maria Di Meglio has been selected to take part in "Visions industrielles à partir des photographies de Peter Rozon" a collective exhibition at the MUSO - Musée de Société des Deux - Rives in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, QC.
The group exhibition centres around the vision of Peter Rozon; a photographer/reporter known to have worked in the Salaberry-de-Valley field region from the 1950s - 1970s. The artists featured in the exhibition were asked to create a work inspired by a Peter Rozon photo of their choosing.
Di Meglio's work juxtaposes images and memories. For this exhibition, she created a vivid composition in oil and charcoal combining personal experiences and visual references. "I chose a photo of the Cooper building the wood barrels in the distillery. This photo reminded me of my childhood growing up helping and watching my father make his homemade wine. Connecting to those memories inspired this completed painting. Continuing on my exploration of color, line, and space" Di Meglio said.
