The Industrial Sites series which Bourdeau began photographing in 1990 are spaces of neglect, but he thinks of these structures as being in a state of transition, of transformation, and possible transcendence. His photographs evoke the history that has molded these sites. Robert Bourdeau has been exhibiting since 1968, and his work is represented in many important public collections throughout North America and the EEC.
