Scott is known for his photographic works with people, portraits and female form, however in Conversations with Blue, Scott has put the camera down and produced abstract minimal work as he attempts to personalize the ocean. Scott's new images present captured moments of fragility and harmony within a reverence of his time and place. Nigel's cyanotypes are all unique, one of kind images exposing a moment with an intention to bring us closer to the ocean. A quote from Scott about his early inspiration for his most recent body of work, "On a trip in Jamaica and as a reminder of my mothers' love of flowers and ikebana, I started using flowers, leaves and anything flora as natures negatives."
